The Step by Step Process
There are four distinct steps in the PACE-SRO process:
-
STEP 1 - Application/Self-Assessment
The SRO process begins with the PACE-SRO Application and application fee. For a copy of the application, please Click Here. Once PACE has received the completed application and the application fee the company will be provided with login credentials to the PACE-SRO Audit Tool.
Companies use PACE-SRO Audit Tool software to perform a self-assessment of current compliance processes. Companies may use the tool to generate reports and archive supporting documentation from the assessment. All documentation and results are confidential and maintained in the software module with password protected access. The PACE-SRO Audit Tool provides a secure environment for all of the information to be uploaded into the audit tool and maintained throughout the audit process.
- STEP 2 - Independent Audit Conducted by PACE's Audit Partner - CompliancePoint
After performing a Self-Assessment, the company must undergo an independent audit performed by PACE's audit partner, CompliancePoint. CompliancePoint will perform an independent audit of the company. Following the audit, CompliancePoint may either return the audit to the company if irregularities are found or forward a detailed analysis to PACE's General Counsel for accreditation consideration..
- STEP 3 - Application for Accreditation/Company Accreditation
After a successful Independent Audit, and verification by PACE's General Counsel, a company may be recommended to the PACE-SRO Trustees for accreditation. The company's identity is withheld from the Trustees to avoid biasing towards applicants and the recommendation is based on the detailed analysis from CompliancePoint and PACE's General Counsel's recommendation. If the Trustees have any questions, CompliancePoint will coordinate with the company to re-examine all of the appropriate documentation. All company documentation is considered confidential and is maintained in the software module with password protected access.
- STEP 4 - Ongoing Compliance
Once a company has successfully achieved PACE-SRO Accreditation the company enters the ongoing compliance phase. To ensure companies remain in compiance after accreditation is awarded, companies are required to submit to calling data audits. A re-accreditation audit is required every 3 years after accreditation is initially awarded.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about the PACE-SRO, please contact PACE by email at SRO@paceconnect.org or call (317) 816-9336.
